Have you ever been to Colorado?

This week I wrapped up such a fun trip to Colorado with my family. The trip started off a little strange because we got caught in the Colorado wild fires. Our drive from Denver Airport should have taken 3 hours and with all of the road closures, it took us 9 hours! We arrive in Snowmass, CO at 4:30 a.m. , it was an adventure for sure. I pray that Colorado receives some rain soon so that people can protect their homes and animals.

We vacationed with so many families from Alamo Heights. I was the oldest kid here, but these girls are so cute.

Love all these girls!

I love Colorado, there are so many outdoor activities to enjoy. This week, we went whitewater rafting, biking and hiking. Here are a couple of photos from our adventures. Yesterday, online school started and I am a Junior at Alamo Heights. I am going to be joining online school from Breckenridge. Here’s a picture of me and my little sister Chloe. Every year we take a picture with fingers showing what year we are starting. I know, so stupid!

That’s me on the right, 11th grade and Chloe starting 8th.

That’s it for now. Leave a comment on your favorite outdoor activities and towns in Colorado. Also, what grade are you starting this year?

What was the best thing you did this summer?

This summer did not look like I thought it would when we started 2020. However, being able to drive to beautiful Colorado in July, when it was over 100 degrees in my favorite city, San Antonio was a trip of a lifetime! We were invited to stay in a cabin with friends in a small town called Nederland, CO. This cabin, built in 1940’s was small and non-air conditioned but it was perfection! Within walking distance of this property is a river where we went fly fishing. Catching a rainbow trout was the highlight of our trip! It was catch and release but the memory of this guy will stay with me for a long time!!!!!
